Johnson is already 26-years old and has been a disappointment in his first couple of years in the league.

There were high hopes for Johnson when he was selected in the middle of the first round, but he hasn’t lived up to them.

The Raptors are hopeful that a change of scenery might help him blossom and are taking a chance on this one.

He has a lot of ability, but turnovers have been a major problem. He also hasn’t developed the ability to get to the basket like Chicago had hoped.

The losses keep piling up like wintertime snow for the Toronto Raptors.

With the NBA All-Star break just three weeks away, it’s easy to say nobody outside of Cleveland is looking forward to the break more than the Raptors. Toronto lost its eighth game in a row on Wednesday, falling at home to Philadelphia 107-94.

Toronto, which is 13-33 on the season, started quickly and built a 29-20 lead after one quarter. But the Raptors fell apart on defense in the middle quarters. Philadelphia hung 64 points on Toronto in the second and third quarters to take control.

DeMar DeRozan led Toronto with 29 points. The Raptors try to snap the skid Friday night against Milwaukee.

Kleiza spent last season playing overseas after being a member of the Denver Nuggets the previous four years.

Kleiza didn’t get the type of contract offer he wanted from the Nuggets, so he went with the much larger deal over in Europe.

The Nuggets had the right to match the Raptors’ offer sheet for Kleiza but declined to do so.

He is expected to at least try and make up for some of the production lost when Chris Bosh signed with the Miami Heat.

There’s only one problem: Bosh made it clear that he really doesn’t want to play in Cleveland.

Despite the potential presence of LeBron James, Cleveland was not on his list of sign-and-trade cities.

Unless the Raptors are able to change Bosh’s mind, it looks like they will have to trade him elsewhere or just let him go.

Some believe the only way Bosh would go to Cleveland is if they already had a true center in place, allowing him to play power forward.

The disgruntled Raptors forward has already soured on Toronto, and the feeling appears mutual. He has publicly stated that he’d like to be traded, and the franchise seems inclined to do so if it can shed the four years left on his $53 million contract, which he signed just last season.

The hot rumor has Turkoglu going to Sacramento in exchange for Andres Nocioni, who two years and $13.5 million left on his contract. With the Raptors likely headed toward rebuilding mode with free agent All-Star forward Chris Bosh almost assuredly signing elsewhere, the team would do well to ship Turkoglu out and fully embrace the idea of rebuilding. And with the Kings possessing cornerstones such as Tyreke Evans and Carl Landry, a player like Turkoglu could put the franchise back into the playoffs next season.

A possible trade between the two teams could mean a swap of point guards in Williams and Jose Calderon.

The Raptors finally handed over the starting job to Calderon and traded away T.J. Ford, but it hasn’t worked out as well as hoped.

Williams played well with the Cavaliers from time to time but was inconsistent, especially in the playoffs.

The Cavaliers are busy overhauling their roster to try and retain LeBron James and build a championship team around him.

Bosh injured his face in a collision with Antawn Jamison in the team’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He was then taken from the floor and rushed to the hospital to undergo tests and further examination.

The Raptors are barely holding on to the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, so the injury couldn’t come at a worse time.

Someone is going to have to step up big time in Bosh’s absence, however long that may end up being.
